Great quality of product, all baked goods not only look lovely but they taste delicious! Very reminiscent of what you can get in France. The space itself is a bit small, but there is seating/tables indoors. No patio seating. I feel like Croissante is better suited for grab and go. They have a good variety of Brunch items, sweet and savory breads and other classic French patisserie items with a twist as well. Opted for their Pan Suisse au Chocolat and White Sesame and Honey Croissant, as they were out of their Pain au Chocolat and their plain croissants. For something savory, the Salt Bread which is super popular in Korea. To drink a Matcha Latte, they offer alternative milk and can adjust sugar levels. Out of what was ordered, the White Sesame and Honey Croissant was delicious! Super flakey, buttery croissant and the sweetness from the honey and the nuttiness of the white sesame was great! Probably one of the best croissants I've had in a long while. The Pan Suisse was okay, though I wish it had a bit more chocolate to it as it was lacking. Salt bread was delicious and super addicting. Soft pillowy bread, that melts in your mouth and the sea salt is perfectly contrasted with the sweetness of the bread. As for the Matcha Latte, definitely not the best Matcha I've had, barely could taste the matcha and found the milk to be lukewarm despite picking it up quickly at the counter. A lot of items were either out or in the process of being baked, so it can be a game of chance. Service is on the slow side and the line quickly builds as there was only 1-2 people assisting customers with their orders and only one cashier at the register. Price point is reflected in the quality of baked goods. Interior sound is not loud/noisy. As mentioned before, seating is limited. Because you bus your own table/space found that the tables or seats were left dirty or sticky. Would visit again to try more of their sweet patisserie items, the croissant or salt bread though.
Croissante is a food instagrammer's haven, serving pretty-looking pastries that are almost too aesthetic to eat. I can definitely understand the hype surrounding this place, which seems to thankfully have died down since their grand opening. The croissants and other yummy baked goods on display near the entrance are mesmerizing and are one of the first things you see as soon as you enter, drawing you further into the establishment. And then one quick glance at the price may bring disappointment. All baked goods were around $7-11, which is definitely on the pricier side for pastries. I do recognize the craftsmanship and thoughtful execution that goes into making delicious and visually-appealing pastries, but I do feel like you can get the same sort of quality at your local Paris Baguette or Tous Les Jour for much cheaper. The croissants didn't disappoint at least, though they also weren't life-changing. I got the matcha cream-filled croissant. The outside crust was nicely golden, crisp, and flakey. The cream filling was a bit disappointing though -- the flavoring didn't quite taste like matcha. I would skip the brunch/lunch menu. Food was okay -- overpriced and underwhelming. Service was also just okay. Workers seem overworked and it took me forever to grab someone's attention when I needed a togo box. Overall thoughts: You're paying for the aesthetics and vibes. Get the croissants because at least they taste good and look pretty, but skip everything else. Worth trying Croissante at least once!
The holy grail of the baked goods. From the moment I stepped in here , my life was forever changed. I didn't know how utterly amazing it would be to bite into a light , flakey, buttery croissant . It had a nice crunnchy exterior , but the inside was soft , tender & slightly chewy . It was like biting into a piece of heaven. My all time favorites here is the almond croissant ,strawberry croissant, & the Kouigann Amman. If you've never tried the Kouigann Amman you are missing out ! The combination of crispy, caramelized, and slightly sticky on the outside, with a tender, buttery, and slightly chewy interior is out of this world. This place hands down makes the best croissants in the Bay area. Prices are a bit steep for dessert. Bought 4 the last time and it came to about $40 which is pricey for a sweet tooth . Be careful . This place is addicting . Came here 2 days in a row. Although , it may be a bit pricey I'd definitely say it's worth every penny. I also like how they package everything and put it in a nice bag. Need to make another trip back. Getting my sweet tooth cravings =D
They've got a wide array of pastries with many different variations and flavors. Some of them are really good, while others are meh. Some standouts are the savory croissants (Ham and cheese/Chicken and Spinach), Hazelnut Raspberry Pain Au Chocolate, and Almond Croissant. Some that missed the mark are the Apple Chestnut and Caramel Macadamia. Although the croissant base is excellent for all of them, the caramel is super thick and overpowers pretty much the entire pastry and the Apple Chestnut was just kind of boring. I also got a Canele, which I had no clue what it was, but it was pretty lackluster, wasn't really sweet, but neither was it savory. I do recall something with a sausage back in March 2024 that I really liked, but I didn't see it this visit. The staff is friendly, especially when it gets really busy (line out the door) but they greet you with a smile. Inside is pretty spacious (about 20-30) seats and while in line, you just pick whichever pastry you want as you move down the line. It is tempting to always pick the fresh ones coming out and be that as it may, you'll end up with one too many pastries. Overall, great croissants, great selection. It does get busy so be prepared of arrive early.
Came here on a Sunday and it was sure busy! Be prepared for a line if you come on a weekend, parking is a little limited - but there is a lot around the Bay Spa and the bank. There's limited seating inside as well so keep that in mind if you want to sit down to eat! The line however does move pretty quickly and the staff go down the line asking which pastry you would like - the hold up is mostly at the register but that can't be avoided! They're very efficient and nice :) The strawberry croissant had a sweet rich custard topped with strawberries and powdered sugar! It was definitely a dessert pastry and we split it with three people for a few bites each! There's lots of different pastries and will have to come back to try the others later on!
I found this place by searching Yelp and was pleasantly surprised by it. Loves: + Lots of yummy croissants including both savory and sweet (most are $7-9) + Personal fave was the pepper sausage danish, then the hazelnut raspberry chocolate one + Decent sized parking lot + Wifi so you could hang/work here My main notes are: 1) the place becomes busy in waves so you may find yourself waiting for a table to clear, and 2) croissants come out on a rotating basis so you may find that the one you want later becomes available if you're willing to wait. All in all, I would certainly come back again and try something new!
The food is delicious! Got a hazelnut raspberry croissant, strawberry cream croissant, mango cream croissant and spinach artichoke danish. The workers were so kind and the place was so warm! Loved the music. The croissants were a bit expensive but tasted absolutely fantastic
